MDR Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk – Renovation of the editing suites (Leipzig)
In the television Headquarters of the MDR in Leipzig, from 2013-2014, Studio Hamburg renovated 23 non-linear editing suites, two post-production sound suites and 7 voice-over booths that were technically improved for film scoring. In Addition, complete renovation of the rooms, with new flooring and structural changes to the layout and the electrical Installation, were carried out and required a tight schedule.
The project was rounded off with bespoke editing furniture from Studio Hamburg Design Works, the height-adjustable tables comply with the latest ergonomic requirements. In addition, noise-emitting technical devices were rehoused in central equipment rooms. As scheduled, by October 2013, all editing suites were HD-capable and the project was successfully completed in spring 2014.
